Maintenance Worker

Scottsdale Shadows is excited to announce this exceptional career opportunity sure to intrigue the energetic maintenance professional eager to thrive in a hospitality environment. When you bring your general maintenance and painting skills to our team, you’ll help us maintain our high standards of excellence while creating an unforgettable environment for our residents and guests.  

Job Summary: 

You’ll be scheduled during general business hours, Monday through Friday, in this full-time position. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge and ability to solve painting, carpentry, concrete, plumbing, HVAC, equipment and electrical issues.

Key Responsibilities:  
  • Preform all assigned painting, repair, light construction and upkeep tasks.
  • Operate equipment appropriate to the assignment.
  • Provide a welcoming, professional environment at all resident-facing touch points recognizing the need to serve a diverse population in a 24 x 7 environment.
  • Report issues immediately to supervisor; strategize solutions.
  • Strictly maintain appropriate level of employee and resident confidentiality.
  • Safety Management: Use proper safety techniques; comply with all safety rules.
Preferred Attributes, Knowledge, Skills and Experience:  
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • At least one year of building maintenance, painting, construction, plumbing, or electrician experience is strongly preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to work with confidential/sensitive information and use diplomacy and discretion in communicating such information.
  • Proven track record of reliability.
  • Professional image.

When you bring your knowledge of residential databases, record-keeping and customer service to our team, you’ll help us maintain our high standards of excellence while creating an unforgettable environment for our residents and guests.  

Job Summary: 

You’ll be scheduled during general business hours, Monday through Friday, in this full-time position. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge and ability to create and maintain best-in-class utilization of the database and resident portal.

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Provide subject matter expertise and optimize colleagues’, association leaders’ and residents’ use of available records technology.
  • Receive inquiries and provide reliable and meaningful information. Document pertinent information.
  • Process title company requests associated with the sale of condo property. Log new owner and lease information into resident database.
  • Manage technology associated with building and community entry point access
  • Process the receipt and payment of accounts payable invoices.
  • Role model kindness and respect in all resident, guest and co-worker interactions recognizing the need to serve a diverse population in a 24 x 7 environment.
  • Provide coverage and assure critical business processes are sustained during team member absences and periods of high-volume activity.
  • Strictly maintain appropriate level of employee and resident confidentiality.

Preferred Attributes, Knowledge, Skills and Experience:  

  • Comprehensive knowledge of database configuration, entry, retrieval and integrity with a strong preference for experience with property management technology.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Property Management experience strongly preferred.
  • Reliability demonstrated through previous employment or school activities.
  • Customer services acumen proven through previous employment or volunteer activities.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional image.
  • 2 Year degree in business, accounting or other related field or commensurate experience.
